What Can I Do If I’ve Been Scammed?

Well i was called around in late June this year by some person claiming to be an employe from a company called American Choice Readers Service and proceeded to tell me that i’m being rewarded for having good credit in a country that is in bad debt and they wanted to reward me for being so. In the reward program they promised me a $1000 online shopping spree, and a magazine subscription that they would pay for, and i just had to pay for shipping and handling, i would pay $58.74 a month for the next 16 months. It all sounded good to me, and being gullible, i accepted, i gave them my checking account number and all the info they needed. following weeks i would get a oder confirmation letter and everything. then one night i was talking to one of my friends about it and told me its all one big scam. to speed things up, today i called them and told them i wanted to cancel my account, though they told me that wasnt possible because i failed to do so in 30 days of sign up. What can i do! Who?

report them to the better business bureau and contact the authorities. also track names, dates and conversation details of anyone you spoke with along with any paperwork or other information you have. sorry you got duped.
