I’m a freshman in high school. In my class, several students bring laptops to school. When I see them, they’re not taking down any notes or listening to the teacher – they’re going online shopping or chatting on AIM.
From what I can see, most high schools students are not responsible enough to bring laptops to school. They don’t want to learn or take down notes. They just want to go online, chat with their friends and browse the internet.
Most of them are nearly failing. About 65-80/100.
College kids who bring their laptops to class do the same thing. But there, they’re wasting their own money. In high school, they’re wasting everyone’s time. Many college profs are now banning laptops in the classroom – there’s no reason they should have one in high school.
